
ART -Mr. David Skirkey teaches a comprehensive Art program which encompasses all types of media. The students in Grades 5 - 8 visit the Museum of Fine Arts in the spring. An Art Show takes place every year to showcase the art pieces that the children have been working on throughout the year.
MUSIC - The students, under the driection of the principal and the faculty, present a Christmas Extravaganza and a Spring Show every year. All students in Preschool -Grade 8 participate in both of these musical programs.
Computer- Thanks to a generous of computers and laptops, Mr. David Skirkey will be conducting computer classes this school year.
Gym-Mrs. Michelle Callahan teaches gym classes to all students in Preschool - Grade 8 one day a week.
Read Boston Literacy Program- Preschool, KI and KII classes borrow books to read at home from the lending library. Kerri Schmidt, a “Read Boston” supervisor, visits the classes and presents a story time/singing program to the children. The children enjoy all of the songs and stories, but their favorite is definitely “The Little Green Frog”.
High Touch-High Tech Science– Preschool -Grade 5 participate in this science program. A trained "scientist" visits the school and brings various science experiments for the children to participate in. This year we have had programs about global fever, silly cells, chemfun and magnet makers.
G.R.E.A.T. Program– Officer Boyle from Station 6 of the Boston Police Department comes and tells the 3rd and 7th grades about Gang Resistance Education and Training.
FIRST Lego League Robotics - Ms. Richard, Ms. Chapin and Mrs.Hall head up a Lego club which culminates with a Robotics competition in the fall. Students in Grades 3-8 can join this club.
